Gatherings
IFFP
Gatherings provide an opportunity for IFFP families to gather in a community
and worship while meeting some spiritual needs. Gatherings are led by
Rev. Julia Jarvis, our spiritual director and Rabbi Harold White, our
Spiritual Advisor. Our IFFP Choir is an integral component to out gathering.
During our Gatherings we express our joys and sorrows, reflect, pray,
sing, participate in Interfaith Response Readings, and read many texts,
in addition to the Jewish and Christian bible.
In addition to the traditional holiday Gathering themes (e.g. Yom Kippur
or Easter), other recent themes include:
- Cultivating the Capacity for Joy
- Prophets Call to Justice
- Religion in Our Everyday Lives
- Rituals
- Tikkun Olam (Healing the World)
- Wonderful Words of Life
- What Does the Lord Require of Us
- Love is All You Need – Beatles Sunday
